BIG CONTRAT TO DASSAULT WITH BOEING

French software company Dassault Systèmes said Tuesday it had reached a $ 1 billion deal with Boeing (about 860 million euros).

This contract will allow the American aircraft manufacturer to modernize its entire production chain.
So it will become more competitive against Airbus. "Boeing will expand the deployment of products developed by Dassault Systèmes," said the French manufacturer.

The generalization of the "3DEXPERIENCE" platform - a set of software solutions for 3D design - used in the future by Boeing concerns all production, civil as well as military and spatial.

"While we are satisfied with the performance of the second quarter and the achievement of the upper limit of our software revenue and EPS (earnings per share) objectives, these results represent a simple step towards a trajectory of Growth more ambitious, "assured the general manager Bernard Charlès.

Dassault intends to emulate and renew this type of "strategic partnership". "Based on many strategic customer decisions, such as Boeing's, we should accelerate our development and demonstrate the quality of our positioning to bring value to the industrial sectors we serve," according to Thibault de Tersant.

This quarter sales increased by 7% to € 806.4 million, and by 6% at constant exchange rates.
