GRAMMY AWARDS 2025

BEYONCE'S FAVORITE

Slated for February 2, 2025, the 67th Grammy Awards ceremony will be held, as is tradition, in Los Angeles to celebrate the best albums released between September 16, 2023 and August 30, 2024. The nominations, unveiled this Friday, November 8, 2024, show a strong presence of female artists.

Beyoncé, already the record holder for the most Grammy Awards, once again leads the nominations thanks to her album *Cowboy Carter*.

This album, which pays tribute to the African-American roots of country music – a genre often associated with white America – could well allow her to finally win the award for album of the year, a distinction that has always eluded her until now.

With eleven nominations, Beyoncé also becomes the second black artist in history to be in the running for the Grammy for "best country album", after Mickey Guyton in 2022.

Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan and many others…

The competition promises to be intense: Taylor Swift, another major figure on the American scene, also shines among the nominees, notably for her highly anticipated *The Tortured Poets Department*, in the running for the album of the year award.

This edition will also be marked by the return of artists already cherished by the Recording Academy, such as Billie Eilish with her third album *Hit Me Hard and Soft*.

New international stars are also making their breakthrough, such as Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. The flamboyant Charli XCX joins this list with *Brat*, considered one of the must-have albums of the year.

Finally, for the song of the year, a variety of titles compete: *Not Like Us* by Kendrick Lamar, *Good Luck, Babe!* by Chappell Roan, *Now and Then* by the Beatles, unveiled in 2023, as well as *Die With a Smile*, a collaboration between Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.
